Alzheimers in India

Like all great world populations, the vast population of India (world’s 2nd largest) is facing a crisis among the elderly and infirm. The crisis is the terrible degenerative disease of Alzheimer’s that can affect anyone at anytime without warning and linger until it takes its final, terminal toll on the victim. Health issues are unexpected but it is our responsibility to be prepared to overcome them.

The condition usually begins to manifest itself in patients in their 50’s but may not occur until later and, in rare cases, can present itself as early-onset Alzheimer’s by victims in their 40’s the symptoms of this horrifying condition are as mysterious as its origins.

They may begin with memory loss of trouble with language skills and increase into irritability and angry outbursts. Because of its degenerative nature the disease leads to full blown dementia and loss of even basic motor skills as the patient drifts further and further away from their more natural and normal selves.

Alzheimer’s in India is quickly becoming more and more common as the society expands into of the worlds largest and fast moving industrial giants in the world and the economy of India continues to grow along with the already massive population.

Patients of this dreaded condition require constant care and medical attention especially when the disease reaches the advanced stage and although the condition is fatal it is not uncommon for a patient to linger for years and years in a hazy, helpless, semi-vegetative state, requiring help with even the most basic of bodily functions.
